How to Add Player Stats (Goals, Assists, Cards)

Adding Player Statistics in Score7​

If your tournament is for a football-style sport (e.g., soccer, futsal, 5-a-side), you can track detailed player stats alongside match results. This includes goals, assists, cards, MVP selections, and clean sheets.

These stats enhance the experience for teams, players, and viewers—and are aggregated in the Stats section.

When Stats Are Available​

Player stats are available if:

  • Your tournament uses a team-based format
  • The selected sport is football or a similar type (score-based, team sport)

If you're using a custom sport, Score7 will enable this automatically if it fits the football category.

How to Add Player Stats​

  1. First, enter the match result
  2. Once saved, click Update Stats next to the match

Inside the Update Stats window:

  • Select the team
  • Choose players from the dropdown
  • Assign stats such as:
    • Goals
    • Assists
    • Yellow Card
    • Red Card
    • Clean Sheet
    • MVP

Repeat for the other team as needed.

Adding Players on the Fly​

If you haven’t added players to the team yet:

  • You can do so directly from the Update Stats window
  • Click Add Player
  • Enter the name (and optionally upload an avatar)
  • That player will now appear in future match stat entries

Where Stats Appear​

  • Stats are shown on the public match page
  • Aggregated player stats are listed under the Stats tab in your tournament
  • MVPs, top scorers, and most cards can be highlighted or exported

Notes and Limitations​

  • Stats are not available for individual-based tournaments
  • Non-football sports (e.g., tennis, chess) do not support player-level tracking
  • Score7 does not currently support custom stat categories beyond the listed options

Need to remove or fix a stat entry? Just re-open Update Stats and make the necessary changes. Stats are editable at any time.
