How to Add Player Stats (Goals, Assists, Cards, and More)

Adding Player Statistics in Score7

Score7 supports per-player stat tracking for multiple sports. After entering a match result, you can record individual contributions — goals, assists, cards, points scored, and more — which are then aggregated in the Stats leaderboard.

Supported Sports and Stats

SportAvailable stats
Football (all variants: FIFA, futsal, 5/6/7/8/9-a-side, beach, street)Goals, Assists, Yellow Cards, Red Cards, Clean Sheet (checkbox), MVP (one per team per match)
BasketballPoints, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, Fouls
RugbyTries, Conversions, Penalties, Drop Goals
Volleyball (indoor and beach)Points, Aces, Attacks, Blocks, Digs

Sports not listed above (e.g., tennis, chess, badminton) do not currently support player-level stat tracking.

When Stats Are Available

Three conditions must be met:

  1. Players are enabled — the tournament uses a team-based format with players added to teams
  2. The sport supports stats — the selected sport is one of the supported types listed above
  3. Stats are enabled — the Stats toggle is turned on in Advanced Settings

You can enable or disable stats independently of the players toggle in Advanced Settings.

How to Add Player Stats

  1. First, enter the match result
  2. Once saved, click Update Stats next to the match

Inside the Update Stats window:

  • Both teams are shown side-by-side with their player lists
  • Select a player and enter their stats for that match
  • Stat fields are number inputs (e.g., goals, points), checkboxes (e.g., clean sheet), or unique selections (e.g., MVP — only one player per team per match)

Repeat for all relevant players on both teams.

Adding Players on the Fly

If you haven't added players to a team yet:

  • You can add them directly from the Update Stats window
  • Click Add Player
  • Enter the name (and optionally a jersey number)
  • That player will now appear in future match stat entries

Where Stats Appear

  • Stats are shown on the public match page for each match
  • Aggregated player stats are listed under the Stats tab in your tournament (top scorers, most assists, etc.)
  • All visitors can view stats in read-only mode; only editors, admins, and the owner can enter or edit stats

Notes and Limitations

  • Stats are only available for team-based tournaments with supported sports
  • Custom stat categories are not supported — stats are limited to the predefined fields for each sport
  • There is no bulk-edit option for stats; each match must be updated individually
  • Stats are per-tournament — there is no cross-tournament career tracking

Need to remove or fix a stat entry? Just re-open Update Stats and make the necessary changes. Stats are editable at any time.
