Entering Match Results in Score7​

Once your tournament is underway, you can start recording results for each match. Score7 makes this quick and flexible—whether you're entering a final score or handling more complex formats like sets.

Match results automatically update the standings, brackets, and public view.

How to Enter a Match Result​

  1. Go to the Matches section in your tournament
  2. Locate the match you want to update
  3. Click Update Result
  4. Enter the score for each team or participant
  5. Save the result

The winner is automatically determined based on the score, and standings are updated instantly.

Set-Based Sports (Tennis, Volleyball, etc.)​

If your sport is based on sets rather than total goals or points:

  1. In the Update Result window, select Add Score
  2. Enter each set’s score (e.g., 6–4, 5–7, 6–3)
  3. The system will calculate the winner based on the number of sets won

You can add as many sets as needed, and delete individual sets if needed.

Overriding the Winner​

Sometimes the match result may not reflect the actual outcome (e.g., forfeits, rules-based decisions).

To override:

  • Click the Override Winner option
  • Select the winner manually
  • Optionally enter a reason or note

This will still display the score but respect your selected winner in standings or brackets.

For Round-Robin: Custom Point Overrides​

In round-robin formats, you can override the points awarded for a match:

  • After entering the result, choose Override Points
  • Assign a custom point value for each participant
  • Useful for formats like volleyball where different scores earn different points

What Happens After You Save​

  • The match result appears on the public page
  • The winner advances in knockout formats
  • Standings are recalculated automatically in group stages
  • Player stats (if applicable) can now be added
