How to Change Time Zone Settings
Customizing Time Zones in Score7
By default, Score7 shows match times in the time zone you set during scheduling. But for distributed or international tournaments, you might want to customize how dates and times appear for all viewers.
This guide shows you how to set a fixed time zone or allow automatic adjustment based on the viewer’s location.
How Time Zones Work
Each tournament in Score7 has a time zone setting that affects:
- Match date and time display
- Scheduler start times and time slot preferences
- Viewer experience (fixed or local time)
How to Change the Time Zone
- Open your tournament
- Go to the Advanced section in the left-hand menu
- Scroll to Time Zone Settings
- Choose one of the following:
Option 1: Set a Specific Time Zone
- Select from the list (e.g.,
America/New_York
,Europe/London
,Asia/Tokyo
) - All users will see match times in this fixed zone
Option 2: Use Browser Default (Auto-Detect)
- Match times adjust to the viewer’s device time zone
- Ideal for online tournaments or global audiences
When to Use Each Option
Use a Fixed Time Zone when:
- The tournament is local (e.g., a weekend league in one city)
- All matches are tied to a physical venue or location
Use Browser-Based Time when:
- Your tournament is online or multi-country
- You want viewers to see times in their own local time
Scheduling Tip
Make sure your time zone setting aligns with how you scheduled matches:
- If you scheduled using
America/Los_Angeles
, switching the display toUTC
will not change the match times, only how they’re presented. - The underlying match data remains fixed; only the presentation changes.
