How to Hand Out Access QR Codes to Participants and Referees
One Code Per Person, Handed Out in Seconds
At a busy event, giving each player or referee their own link one by one is a chore. Score7 lets you hand out personal access QR codes for everyone at once—straight from your participants list or referees list.
This is different from the tournament's Share QR code. That one points everyone to the same public tournament page. These codes are personal: each participant or referee gets their own code that opens their own corner of the tournament.
Handing out access QR codes is a premium feature, available to owners and admins.
What Each Code Opens
- A participant's code opens their personal matches page—their schedule and scores across the whole tournament. If you've turned on participant result reporting, their code lets them report their own scores instead of just viewing.
- A referee's code opens their result-entry link, where they enter results for the matches assigned to them.
No account or sign-in is needed on either side. The code is the credential, so hand it to the right person.
Option 1: Show the QR Codes on Screen
- Open your participants list (or referees list)
- Click Show QR code at the top of the list
- A panel opens listing everyone, each with their personal link and a scannable QR code
From here you can copy any individual link to send it directly, or simply hold up the screen for someone to scan on the spot.
Option 2: Print a QR-PDF
If you'd rather hand out something physical:
- Open your participants list (or referees list)
- Choose Export access QR codes (PDF)
- Score7 builds a print-ready PDF with one card per person—their name and their QR code
Print it and cut it into slips to hand out at the check-in desk, or pin the whole sheet to a noticeboard at the venue. The file is named after your tournament, so it's easy to find later.
A Couple of Things to Know
- The code is the credential—anyone who scans a participant's or referee's code gets that person's access, so hand codes to the right people.
- Access QR codes are premium; the tournament-level Share QR code stays free for everyone.
