How to Reschedule Matches

Rescheduling Matches in Score7

Need to move a match due to a venue conflict, weather delay, or team availability? Score7 makes it simple to reschedule individual matches at any point during the tournament.

You can do this manually without affecting the rest of the bracket or group structure.

How to Reschedule a Match

  1. Go to your tournament’s Matches section
  2. Find the round and locate the specific match
  3. Click Update Date, Location, Referee
  4. Adjust the Date and Time as needed
  5. Save the changes

The updated schedule will be immediately reflected on the public tournament page.

Considerations When Rescheduling

  • Make sure the new time doesn’t conflict with other matches involving the same team or referee
  • If you’ve used the Scheduler, these manual changes will override the auto-assigned values
  • Referees and locations can also be updated during this step

Rest Periods and Match Gaps

If your event uses minimum resting time or specific venue slots, ensure the new time respects those constraints (especially in tournaments with tight schedules).

Manual changes do not validate spacing rules, so double-check back-to-back matches manually if rest periods matter.

Optional: Use the Scheduler to Rebalance

If you're making many changes or shifting a full round:

  • Go to the Scheduler
  • Select your stage and generate a new schedule
  • Use the “Override existing matches” option only if you want to overwrite manual updates
