Can I Restrict Access to Only One Team or Participant?
Team-Specific Access Restrictions
Score7 does not currently support restricting access on a per-team or per-player basis. In other words, there is no way to allow one team to edit only their own results or view only their own matches.
All tournament data is visible to anyone with the link, and only organizers (owner/admin/editor) can make changes.
Who Can See What
- Public Viewers: Anyone with the link can view the full tournament (matches, standings, brackets, stats)
- Admins: Can edit all aspects of the tournament
- Editors: Can update any match result or player stats—but not limited to a specific team
Common Use Case: Team Managers Entering Scores
If you want team managers to help with results:
- You can give them editor access
- But they will be able to update results for all matches, not just their own
We recommend using editors only for trusted collaborators, such as referees, co-organizers, or event staff.
Workaround Options
While full access restriction isn't supported, you can:
- Use a shared chat tool (e.g., WhatsApp or Discord) for teams to send scores to you
- Enter results yourself based on submissions
- Add team-specific contact links in the Rules & Description field if needed
Future Improvements
Team-specific permissions are a commonly requested feature. While not available today, Score7 is exploring future enhancements that may include:
- Role-limited access
- Team manager dashboards
- Registration flows with approval
For now, organizers maintain full control over all editing and visibility.
