How to Enable or Disable Teams in Your Tournament
Switching Between Individual and Team Tournaments
Score7 supports both individual-based tournaments and team-based ones. You can choose the appropriate mode during setup—or change it later—depending on how your competition is structured.
This guide explains how to enable or disable teams after a tournament has been created.
What Is Team Mode?
When teams are enabled, each participant is a team, and you can optionally assign players within those teams.
When teams are disabled, each participant is a standalone individual—ideal for sports like tennis, chess, or ping pong.
How to Enable or Disable Teams
- Open your tournament
- Go to the Advanced section from the left-hand menu
- Scroll to Teams Enabled
- Toggle the setting on or off
- Enabling teams switches the Participants section to Teams
- Disabling teams reverts the interface to a flat list of participants
What Happens When You Switch Modes?
- Your current data remains safe, but some interface options will change
- If you switch from teams to individuals, any saved player data will be hidden (not deleted)
- If you switch from individuals to teams, you can immediately start assigning players to each team
You can switch back at any time if you need to adjust later.
When to Use Each Mode
Enable Teams for:
- Football, basketball, volleyball, esports, or any team sport
- Tracking stats per player
- Uploading team logos and player rosters
Disable Teams for:
- Solo sports (tennis, table tennis, chess)
- Casual competitions with individual signups
