How to Edit Match Times, Dates, and Locations
Manually Editing Match Details
Whether you're making a quick adjustment or building a schedule manually, Score7 allows you to edit match times, dates, locations, and referees for any match in your tournament.
This is useful if:
- You want full control over scheduling
- You’re responding to last-minute changes or availability issues
- You prefer manual scheduling instead of using the automatic scheduler
How to Edit Match Details
- Go to the Matches section of your tournament
- Locate the round or stage where the match is listed
- Find the match you want to edit
- Click Update Date, Location, Referee (usually displayed as a button or menu option)
Fields You Can Edit
- Date: Choose the day the match will be played
- Time: Set the exact starting time (based on your tournament’s time zone)
- Location: Type or select a venue (optional)
- Referee: Assign a referee if you’ve entered a referee pool
All updates are saved instantly and reflected on the public tournament page.
Time Zone Handling
Match times are shown based on your tournament’s time zone setting. You can change this in Advanced Settings:
- Choose a fixed time zone (e.g., “America/New_York”)
- Or set it to “browser-based” so each user sees times in their local zone (ideal for online tournaments)
Tips for Manual Scheduling
- Avoid conflicts by staggering match times if using the same location or referee
- Use consistent naming for venues if running multi-site events
- If you’ve already used the scheduler, uncheck “override scheduled matches” before regenerating
Use Case: Mixed Approach
It’s common to use the scheduler for most of your event, then adjust a few matches manually. Score7 supports both approaches seamlessly.
