How to Recover a Lost Tournament
Recovering a Lost Tournament
If your tournament no longer appears in your account or was deleted by mistake, recovery may be possible—but only within a short time frame.
This guide explains what can and cannot be restored in Score7.
First, Check These Basics
Before assuming the tournament is lost:
-
Make sure you're signed into the correct account (Some users accidentally create a second account using Google or email login.)
-
Check “My Tournaments” from the top-right menu after signing in Your tournaments are only visible while signed into the account that created them.
-
If you created the tournament anonymously, it may have expired. Unlinked tournaments are deleted after 24 hours unless saved by signing in.
Deleted Tournaments: Is Recovery Possible?
If your tournament was:
- Deleted manually from your account
- Or removed during account deletion
…it may still be recoverable for a short period.
To request a recovery:
- Contact Score7 Support via the website: score7.io/support
- Include:
- The name of the tournament (if known)
- Your account email address
- When it was deleted or lost
- We’ll check whether recovery is possible from recent backups
Note: After the retention window expires, tournaments cannot be restored.
Tournaments Created Without an Account
If you created a tournament without signing in, it is:
- Temporarily saved for 24 hours
- Deleted automatically after that if not linked to an account
To save your tournament:
- Sign in anytime before 24 hours pass
- It will then be attached to your account and persist permanently
Prevent Future Loss
- Always sign in when creating important tournaments
- Upgrade to Premium if you manage multiple events or seasons
- Keep backups by exporting participants, results, and standings as CSV
